About a year ago, many of our customers received a survey asking what information they would like to have available on our website. We had a tremendous response and many fine suggestions. The result is our newly redesigned and engineered website, KatahdinCedarLogHomes.com.
You'll notice on the home page that we've decided to begin with some of our most attractive homes. Included in this home page gallery is the new Home of the Month feature, which gives you a look inside one of our completed cedar log homes. We hope you'll tune in each month to get new ideas and see how other homeowners have come up with interesting solutions!
New ways to view homes
Our biggest improvement, and one that many of our survey respondents requested, is the ability to search and browse through Katahdin's library of 400 floor plans. Each home listed in the Dream Home Floor Plans section will have a brief description of key features - square footage, bedrooms and baths, floor plans and three-dimensional views of the completed home. You'll be able to search based on square footage, number of bedrooms and baths. Other details such as the roof system, loft, roof pitch are included in the home details. These can help you to pick a design that is suited to your budget and needs. The Floor Plans option gives you the option of printing out selected plans.
The new Dream Home Gallery offers a selection of a slide show, and individual homes' interiors and exteriors. Here you'll be able to see how plans translate into stunning living spaces, and how furniture and fixtures can be arranged.
In the Dream Home Virtual Tours section, you'll be able to "visit" three homes: the Extreme Makeover - Home Edition home designed and built by Katahdin in 2005; David and Glady Gordon's Farm House and Barn and a custom-built Vacation Getaway in McHenry, MD.

On the Vendor Comparison page, you'll find the Katahdin Challenge that you can use to compare packages among vendors. What about Maintenance?
We've developed a whole new section to assist our customers in selecting stains and finishes to protect their new log homes, Maintaining My Home. You'll learn about the simple steps for upkeep and when to perform routine maintenance, much like a furnace inspection or chimney cleaning. In Landscaping, you'll also learn about Katahdin Cedar Fencing designed to enhance the landscaping around your home with durable and attractive fencing in many styles.
Locate a dealer quickly and easily
On the website page Find a Dealer you'll be able to locate a dealer who is familiar with your area and is well-trained to assist you in building your dream Katahdin Cedar Log Home. If you find there is no dealer in your anticipated building location, you'll find information to contact one of Katahdin sales representatives to assist you. Here you can also learn about the Award-Winning Training we provide our dealers and builders, which assures you of a quality and stress-free building experience. A comprehensive list of upcoming events will also provide you with information about log home shows, seminars, open houses and other opportunities to meet with Katahdin representatives to learn more.
