The unusual weather events lead our thoughts and prayers out to our friends, customers, dealers and their families who have been so profoundly affected by these storms. We received some good news from our window partners Andersen Windows, who have several manufacturing facilities in affected areas in the Northeast. Production is back up and running, while one facility is also doing double duty as a staging area for relief efforts. With all the reconstruction from the storm, we predict they will be very busy!
In this edition, The View From Up North takes a look at both bathrooms and foyers, two smaller areas of a log home that can have a big impact. For bathrooms, many homeowners are opting for a retro look that melds beautifully with the casual and rustic styles log home owners prefer. As entryways into your log home, foyers become a preview of the rest of the house. Grand or functional, we offer some decorating options to make your foyer welcoming and warm.
We are also on the cusp of the winter weather season. So many of our customers are moving into a more rural area or to a different region of the country with only moderate experience with snow control. We take a look at several factors to consider when upgrading your snow removal gear- from snowplows, to snow blowers to human-powered options.
For our Green Tip, we take a look at the functional good looks of recycled, low VOC, Fireclay Glazed Thin Brick.
