Good morning!
This bright winter sunshine always energizes us in Aroostook County to be outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature in the winter. Snowshoeing, skiing, snowmobiling, sledding or skating there’s so much to draw us outside! And we manage to keep warm inside with toasty wood stoves and good comfort food.
We also love to meet up with our friends at log home shows this time of year. We’ve added quite a few shows to take the Katahdin team through April. Check out the schedule below. And if you’re in Vermont or the Nashville area, this weekend is the perfect time to learn more about the log home lifestyle and the advances we’ve made in energy efficiency in our log homes.
This month, we take a look at fireplaces-new regulations that some states are implementing, as well as new options for the warming hearth. Just when you thought there was nothing to add to the basic function of the commode, bathroom companies put a new wrinkle on the toilet. We explore some of the new, amazingly high-tech options for toilets.
With the Olympics in Sochi on over the next few weeks, the television takes center stage in many homes. Whether it’s the big game of gaming that appeals to your family, storing, displaying and operating these media centers can be simplified with the right built-in or freestanding media console. We tackle brightening log home interiors with colorful native and folk art from areas of Mexico. And finally, this month’s Green Tip explores some of the benefits of recycling kitchen food scraps and how to make that easy.
We’re always looking for new article ideas to answer your questions! Drop us a line and we’ll try to include them in upcoming newsletters. Just click here to reach us.
Sincerely,
David Gordon
