Pyrethrum is a botanical insecticide produced in a species of chrysanthemum flowers. The extract of these flowers is water based, biodegradable and harmless to pets. In commercial uses it is used for fruit orchards and vegetable fields.
The Mosquito-Pro system mixes the cartridge of pyrethrum with water, then pumps it to the spray nozzle system installed on the perimeter of the protected area. The spray nozzles are connected by plastic tubing in a continuous loop and may be installed on fences, under eaves, around patios and decks and other outdoor living areas. Homeowners can set up the computerized system to operate with timed distribution, dusk and dawn, or can use a remote controller to initiate a misting for special occasions.
