to refrigerated compartment for drinks and snacks without opening the full door. This keeps the larger interior of the refrigerator at a more constant temperature and saves money. The extra storage space also offers a new way to organize the refrigerator
The Door–in-Door Refrigerators are available in multiple configurations, including side-by-side and French doors with a lower freezer compartment. Storage capacity ranges from 24- to 30-cubic-feet, and the appliances are available in a variety of widths and counter-depth sizes. The refrigerators also offer icemakers and in-door water and ice dispensers. LG’s refrigerators feature a linear compressor that is more responsive to temperature changes and keeps food fresher, and are Energy Star 2014 rated.
One model even features a Customchill™ drawer with four different temperature settings for produce freezer, drinks or other storage. The drawer (below) includes adjustable partitioning to keep food products in place. And it’s the perfect place to store large party platters or a decorated sheet cake.
