Good Morning!
Wow, what beautiful weather for our leaf peeping visitors to enjoy! It’s been a spectacular foliage season in our beautiful state. It certainly is one of the reasons we love northern Maine so much in the fall.
First, I’d like to invite anyone who hasn’t had the chance to sign up for our Hamilton, N.Y., Log Home Planning Seminar this Saturday, October 12, to contact us as soon as possible. There are still some places available; click here for more information.
This month we take on a subject that everyone has an interest in: bathrooms. Once referred to as the necessaries, when indoor plumbing was first introduced, our bathrooms have evolved into essential, functional and sometimes luxurious retreats from the rest of the house. Lighting and mirrors are essential to baths, and having the right type can make a huge difference. We explore some ways to light up bathrooms to enhance function and décor.
First it was outdoor kitchens and living rooms; now some homeowners are moving their baths and showers to the great outdoors. If you’ve never experienced an outdoor shower or soak, it can be refreshing and invigorating! We take a look at where to locate an outdoor facility, what needs to go into the design and some tips for enhancing the experience.
Demand control pumps are an innovative way to save money and water while delivering hot water to fixtures quickly. While these systems can be retrofitted, the ideal approach is to design the plumbing system with these ingenious pumps in the mix.
For interior showers and their sometimes-elaborate tile or stonework, glass enclosures can really enhance the look and feel of the experience. We explore some options to the ungainly and heavily framed old school options to beautiful glass doors and frameless glass surrounds. Finally, sometimes what really defines the shower is the showerhead. New options not only deliver water to your experience but tantalize other senses as well.
We hope you’ll enjoy this month’s newsletter! If you have any questions, please drop us a line and we’ll try to include them in upcoming newsletters. Just click here to reach us.
Sincerely,
David Gordon
President

Bathroom Lights and Mirrors
Lighting and mirrors can make or break a bathroom’s ambiance and functionality. Bathrooms have evolved in modern houses to be more spacious and multifunctional, and as a result, the lights and reflective surfaces need to complement the spaces they occupy.

Keeping the Shower Hot
Demand control pumps or on-demand pumps are an efficient way to get hot water at specific locations in a home, without the running time needed to get the warm water from its source to the faucet. Just think of how many times each day the hot tap is turned on and run until it gets hot enough and the tally will really start to add up. See how it works!
